In this 3-hour jewellery workshop, you’ll learn how to measure your finger and calculate the amount of metal you need to make a gold-fill ring that fits perfectly. You’ll be experimenting with hammers to create your desired texture. You’ll also learn how to solder, shape, sand and polish your handmade stacking ring. We’ll practice in brass before moving on to gold fill.
Gold fill consists of a thick layer of gold mechanically bonded to a base metal, typically brass or copper. This makes it a more affordable alternative to solid gold while still offering the appearance of real gold.
It’s created by bonding a layer of gold to the base metal through a combination of heat and pressure. The gold layer is much thicker than gold plating, making gold-filled items more durable and long-lasting.
Sunday 27th July 11-2pm
Hosted at:

I recently had the absolute pleasure of attending a gold ring workshop run by the incredibly talented Amie Jacobs, and I can’t recommend it enough. From start to finish, the experience was fun, engaging, and genuinely wholesome - a beautiful way to learn a new craft in a relaxed and supportive setting.
Amie’s one-to-one guidance throughout the workshop was exceptional. She offered gentle encouragement and expert support at every stage, making the process feel approachable even for complete beginners like me. Her passion for jewellery-making shines through in everything she does, and it was inspiring to learn from someone so skilled and dedicated to her craft.
The workshop itself was thoughtfully paced, with plenty of room for creativity and personal touches. I left not only with a gorgeous handmade gold ring but also with a real sense of accomplishment and joy. Amie’s small business is a true gem - her jewellery pieces are stunning, and her ability to share her knowledge with such warmth and enthusiasm is something really special.
If you’re looking for a meaningful, hands-on experience and a chance to create something beautiful to keep, I highly recommend booking a workshop with Amie!
An amazing experience can't wait to do it again! Amie is such a lovely person who guided us through every step to make own on ring, we loved learning this technique 😀
